The specialized training project officially began in November 2023 with a dense and structured program of events.
Kinetic Center was born from the idea of creating a top-level physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic. Over the years, this project has developed into a solid and concrete reality. In the six years since its foundation, Kinetic Center has brought together a large team of specialized professionals, equipped with modern, functional, and comfortable facilities, complemented by multipurpose spaces and advanced technologies.
Every physiotherapist knows how important it is to keep their knowledge up to date by attending national and international training courses, in order to gain further experience and acquire new skills to apply in their professional practice.
Today, while in some areas the availability of courses is broad, other often debilitating and painful conditions remain under-researched and lack in-depth training programs.
In response to this gap and in listening to the needs of professionals, Kinetic Center decided to launch its own SPECIALIZED TRAINING PROJECT at its headquarters, organizing courses aimed at specialized therapists from all backgrounds, inviting high-level speakers, and providing spaces, materials, and equipment.
The course program—limited to a small number of participants to ensure intensive theoretical and practical lessons—officially kicked off in November 2023 with a course on the rehabilitation of COMPLEX PELVIC FLOOR DYSFUNCTIONS: neurology, oncology, endometriosis, transgender care, vulvar lichen. This course drew immense interest not only due to the fascinating topics but also because it is unique in all of Ticino. The demand was so high that the long waiting list already allows for the announcement of a repeat session in the spring of next year.
Following this first general course, each subject will be further explored through dedicated training sessions. In April 2024, a specialized course on the treatment of NEUROLOGICAL PATHOLOGIES OF THE PELVIC FLOOR will be held.
Other planned courses for 2024 include a two-day advanced course on ANO-RECTAL DYSFUNCTIONS, with an in-depth focus on MANOMETRY, BIOFEEDBACK, and other essential techniques, as well as an introductory course on SEX TOYS, RETRAINING AND REHABILITATION OF THE PELVIC FLOOR, an effective and innovative approach that goes beyond stigma and taboos.
The lessons take place in the dedicated classroom at Kinetic Center, located at Via Ferruccio Pelli 13 in Lugano, and are held in Italian. The courses alternate between theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, with a focus on both manual and instrumental therapies.
The validity of our courses is recognized by associations such as ASPUG-PP, the Swiss Association of Physiotherapists Specialized in Uro-Gynecology and Pelvi-Perineology, which certifies the neurological pathologies course as specialist training. The project is also supported by associations like Endo-Help (Swiss Endometriosis Association) and Filo di Speranza (Swiss Association for Pudendal Neuralgia and Painful Neuropathies), as well as numerous sponsors who wish to associate their brands with structured medical-scientific projects focused on patient care and wellbeing.
